This escape mortise lock, as the name suggests, enables rapid escape and complies with the EN179 standard. Once the lock is engaged, pressing the handle from inside the room simultaneously controls both the latch and the deadbolt, saving precious escape time. Escape Mortise Lock Function
From the inside :
When the door is locked, latch and deadbolt can be retracted at the same time by manipulating the handle.
Locking the door can be achieved using either the cylinder key or thumbturn.
From the outside :
If the door is unlocked, the latch can be retracted by operating the handle.
In case of a locked door, the deadbolt can be opened using the cylinder key or thumbturn.
